Shared Leadership Training

 The Annual Shared Leadership Training for 2012 took place April 21-22nd. 40 participants gathered to participate in this two day training for growers of the good food movement. Thank you for your participation! View a photo slideshow of the weekend including flipcharts of notes from the weekend.

Community Garden Spring Resource Fair 2012

Date: Saturday, March 31st, 2012
Place: Neighborhood House 179 Robie Street East, St. Paul (Westside)
Cost: Free, Suggested donation of $5-10 at the door

This annual spring "hoe-down" is an excellent chance to meet other gardeners from around the metro area, glean what resources and opportunities are available to community gardens, and cultivate some new horticultural and organizational skills. Read more »

Community Garden Day 2012

What: Community gardens across the state host neighborhood celebrations for the public in the garden
Date:
Saturday, August 11th, 2012
Place: A directory of participating gardens will be available after June 13th at local businesses and on this website
Cost: Free to participate as a garden, and free to visit gardens

Saturday, August 11th, 2012 is Community Garden Day in Minnesota and community gardens throughout MN will be hosting tours for the public in celebration! Community Garden Day is an opportunity to recognize the thousands of volunteer hours that community members put in each year to make these community green spaces possible. It's also a way to learn directly from community gardeners about these community spaces, and to get to know your neighborhood or city a little better in the process.

At least one member of your garden must be available to attend an orientation session Wednesday, June 13th. (To be held at a Minneapolis or St. Paul location TBD. Gardens outside Twin Cities metro: let's talk!)
