On April 6, 2010, Dakota County Board awarded the International Outreach Church (IOC) garden committee with the 2010 Public Health Achievement Award for a community group that promotes the health of the public. These awards are given to those who demonstrate leadership, are role models, make a significant contribution to health, are advocates, collaborate with others, and make an impact. This group has been an advocate for others to become involved to increase healthy eating and physical activity through community gardening. Well done!
