Community Gardening Day August 6, 2011

Thank you to everyone who made Community Garden Day 2011 possible! 55 community gardens from across the state of MN hosted events in their gardens and had a great time celebrating the day with their fellow gardeners, neighbors and supporters. Community Garden Day is an opportunity to recognize the thousands of volunteer hours that community members put in each year to make these community green spaces possible. It's also a way to learn directly from community gardeners about these community spaces, and to get to know your neighborhood or city a little better in the process. We had a great time visiting gardens on August 6th, 2011, and we hope you did too!
