Connecting to City Water
If a neighbor is unable to provide water, contact your city to see if it allows gardens to access a city water source. For hydrants, there is usually a charge for setting up and breaking down at the beginning and end of the season.
Use rain barrels to capture rainwater to use for the garden- it saves you money and is environmentally responsible!
- Rain barrels can be found at local gardening or hardware stores. Call your local stores to see if they keep rain barrels in stock.
- The Recycling Association of Minnesota sells rain barrels for $69. Pre-order online and pick up at a distribution event near you.
